About GCAC

The Gulfton Citizen's Advisory Council (GCAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting residents, law enforcement, and local partners to create a safer, stronger Gulfton. Since 1990, GCAC has worked hand-in-hand with the Houston Police Department’s Gulfton Storefront to address the unique challenges of one of Houston’s most culturally diverse neighborhoods.

As a community-driven nonprofit, GCAC actively fundraises and accepts private donations to support and oversee the operational needs of the Gulfton Storefront facility and its officers, helping to lessen the financial burden on the City’s budget while maintaining such a vital resource for the community. This ongoing partnership ensures that critical programs and essential services remain accessible to residents without interruption.
